ABSTRACT
The author maintains that there are no neutral/apolitical classrooms, but rather that schools as currently designed employ a colonized curriculum which elaborates a racist agenda advocating Eurocentric superiority and Black and non-White inferiority, both ideologies that support anti-democratic inequity and social injustice. The author further claims that a decolonized curriculum will foster a new educational structure that consists of interventions which honor the histories and facilitate the empowerment of all students in the educational environment and promote critically thinking, mentally liberated teachers and students who can appreciate and respect the experiences and identities of a diverse nation.
