ABSTRACT
The development and deployment of artificial intelligence have the potential to amplify biases and further discrimination. This chapter will explain, using examples from the areas of education, health care, and policing, the risks to marginalized populations. Active steps should be taken to promote equity and inclusion as we pursue technological progress.
