ABSTRACT
The aim of this work is to provide an analysis of the most recent United Nations initiatives to promote global management of migration flows and the integration of migrants into the host communities. After a brief analysis of the relevant regulatory framework, the work analyzes the UN initiatives to adequately address the management of large movements of migrants. Attention is then turned to the analysis of the contents and implementation of the Global Compact for Migration which represents the most recent action plan adopted by the Organization to promote safe, orderly and regular migration.
