ABSTRACT

This chapter outlines the use of forum play where a storyline is acted out and paused for others to intervene and replay with different storylines, thereby testing alternative futures. The example described is set in a business school as a formative activity towards an assessed group performance related to sustainability and innovation. The activity promoted high levels of engagement and developed the students’ confidence in developing short plays on sustainability themes as well as suggesting how the activity might best be planned, facilitated, and assessed.
