ABSTRACT
This chapter explains how higher education teachers can use the ‘House of Commons’ activity which helps students to explore several dilemmas about a topic, e.g. related to sustainability such as future energy practices. Participants choose their own (real or fictional) point of view. To start thinking about the topic addressed in the House of Commons, a ‘word shower’ to generate ideas on the topic is a nice warm-up activity. In this specific drama practice, students generate ideas about situations and scenarios to enact or perform in subsequent learning activities and explore multiple viewpoints through a dynamic and interactive process.
