ABSTRACT
The chapter analyses the problem of legalisation of residence of persons from Ukraine on the territory of the Visegrad Group countries. The chapter distinguishes the forms of international and national protection of foreigners; special attention is paid to the temporary protection regulated by EU law and its implementation into the national law of the Visegrad Group countries. The chapter presents the EU guarantees concerning the rights of temporary protection beneficiaries and the activation of the temporary protection procedure in connection with the war in Ukraine by the European Union and the Visegrad Group countries. The chapter also explores the rights of temporary protection beneficiaries in the individual countries of the Visegrad Group.
