ABSTRACT
The present paper is true to the best of the author’s knowledge. The Israel–Palestine conflict, a long-standing old geopolitical conflict, reflects historical grievances, territorial disputes, and cultural differences. The present study tries to understand the root cause and the beginning of the conflict from the Ottoman period to modern times and also highlights the Balfour Declaration, the partition plan, and subsequent wars. The study reveals the rejection of the rights of the citizens and the movement, cost of the human life, and the understanding of the role of international actors as the mediators for maintaining peace. The study concludes with the exploration of the possible pathways to resolve the current tension in the Israel–Palestine conflict and addresses the core issues to achieve sustainable peace.
