ABSTRACT
The Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR) is a quadrennial science-policy report of the United Nations prepared by an Independent Group of Scientists (IGS). It forms part of the review and follow-up process for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and informs the decision-making process at the High-level Political Forum. The first GSDR prepared by the IGS was launched in 2019, and the second in 2023. In contrast to the annual Sustainable Development Goals Report prepared by the UN, the GSDR is qualitative and analytical and aims to provide frameworks and tools to assist policymakers in unlocking SDG transformations.
