ABSTRACT
This book concludes by synthesising the transformative effects of emerging technologies on modern conflict. It explores how artificial intelligence (AI), cyber warfare, unmanned aerial systems, hypersonic weapons, and the militarisation of space are reshaping strategies, tactics, and global security. Key insights highlight the accelerating role of AI in cyber operations, influence campaigns, and battlefield decision-making; the weaponisation of commercially available drones by non-state actors; and the growing vulnerabilities of critical infrastructure to hybrid and cyber threats. Additionally, the analysis underscores the strategic challenges posed by the evolving space domain and the implications of hypersonic weapons for deterrence and stability. The future of warfare, as projected, will be characterised by a deepening integration of autonomous systems, human–AI collaboration, quantum technologies, and biotechnology enhancements, all demanding transformational military leadership and adaptable strategies.
