ABSTRACT
Air travel has been noted as the most difficult form of transport for disabled passengers (Motability 2022). The limited research undertaken in this area has revealed little change over the past two decades. In light of this, consideration around accessibility should feature early in the process for future flight technologies. This chapter looks at the current barriers faced by disabled passengers in the current air travel industry and explores what the key priorities are moving forward.
