ABSTRACT

In this part of the book, consisting of four chapters, we will focus on the importance of training and capacity-building in bringing about institutional change and enhancing employees’ skills and knowledge with regard to equality and diversity. Part III also closely tackles the crucial role of various stakeholders and CoPs (Communities of Practice) in HEIs in co-designing training activities according to the needs of particular academic groups and in disseminating knowledge and skills gained through training. Particular attention is given to the key role of trainers and their know-how in gender equality and diversity training, as well as to the timely need to introduce GIA tools (Gender Impact Assessment) in knowledge production.
