ABSTRACT

In today’s world, the process of building peace holds particular importance. The encyclical Fratelli Tutti adds to the catalogue of significant documents of Catholic Social Teaching, emphasizing that fostering harmony and peace demands a modern, creative, all-encompassing, and complex engagement. Therefore, upon analyzing the content of the aforementioned encyclical, we discern a context of social values derived from the fundamental tenets of the Catholic Social Teaching paradigm: see, judge, and act. Consequently, the author of this text aims to interpret Pope Francis’s intentions in promoting living together in harmony and peace, both locally and globally. True and lasting peace can only emerge from a global ethic of solidarity and cooperation, grounded in the shared duty for a future shaped by interconnection and mutual responsibility among all members of the human family.
