ABSTRACT
In this chapter, Stewart Firth discusses the role of international agencies in the Pacific Islands region, particularly cooperation between United Nations and Bretton Woods structures and Pacific Island security organisations and states. He covers a wide range of thematic areas – climate change, natural disasters, migration, and human trafficking, security governance, debt after COVID-19 and corruption – showing the diversity of international cooperation with the region.
