ABSTRACT

The transfer of knowledge from research is essential to generate a social impact. In this sense, if the results generated from research are not transferred to society, we are missing one of the most critical research components: social improvement. The objective of this chapter was to learn the perspective on the research transfer of the participants of a scientific event. To this end, three questions were posed and answered by 28 participants. The results showed that although many respondents believe all the research that is carried out may be transferable, very few consider that it generates a positive impact for the benefit of society. Finally, in the context of increasing globalization and an increasingly knowledge-centred economy, it is crucial to both understand and effectively promote knowledge transfer.
