ABSTRACT

The chapter is a comprehensive analysis of the changes that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused in urban educational policies, both at the level of their programming (i.e., developing specialist strategic documents) and practical relations (implementing specific actions). In their study, the authors focused on the educational policies of large cities in the Visegrad Group (V4) countries. They analyze the nature and dynamics of the changes that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused in urban educational policies, both during the pandemic crisis itself and in the post-pandemic crisis. The key role is played by determining which of the introduced changes have become an inherent element of the studied policies, determining the functioning of the education sector, and which are only ephemeral in nature. The methodological approach used (in the form of using comparative analysis, analysis of the content of legal acts, and analysis of statistical data) allows for the implementation of the assumed research objective.
