ABSTRACT
Using a narrative approach, this piece provides details of the funding, research and policy background to two projects – Field \ work and Field || guides – that were part of the UKRI SPF Landscape Decisions programme. Both projects utilised classical ideas and texts, especially Virgil’s Georgics, and an example is discussed of the way this work informed a policy document on Net Zero.
