ABSTRACT
In this chapter, Elena Isayev presents her experience of policy engagement as an ancient historian whose research has specialised in concepts of migration, displacement, heritage and constructions of place. She discusses how her work across diverse international contexts has helped policymakers to understand the ramifications of the latest research in the field.
