ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the concept of cultural leadership, drawing on leadership theory, professional experience and prior research the creative industries, culture and management. Making use of the value-based approach (VBA) with reference to the personal, social, societal, and transcendental dimensions of value, the chapter analyses what constitutes value in relation to cultural leadership, what cultural leaders do and how they identify with, communicate, and create value within the arts, creative, and cultural contexts.
