ABSTRACT

Arts and cultural organizations are increasingly seeking to measure the impact they generate via the realization of their values. While these organizations often readily acknowledge that they are striving to realize values within personal, social, and societal spheres, this awareness does not imply that they know what to measure in their attempt to improve their impact. Based on examples related to Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) from the cultural field and through recourse to a strategic positioning framework developed by Ebrahim (2019), we propose a decision tree that can help organizations to set up their impact measurement plans in order to truly make an impact.
