ABSTRACT
The Kerala Migration Survey (KMS) 2023 is in its nineth round of long-standing series of global migration monitoring studies. Original undertaken by the Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Kerala, under the leadership of K C Zachariah and S Irudaya Rajan since 1998, the 2023 round was conducted by the Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation (GIFT) and International Institute of Migration and Development (IIMAD) with funding from the Department of Non-Resident Keralite Affairs (NORKA), Government of Kerala. The Kerala model of migration surveys have been replicated in many states of India - Gujarat, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Odisha and Jharkand.
