ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an overview of the literature pertaining to CSA disclosure, including definitions and a summary of the current evidence-base around adult disclosures of CSA. It discusses what the research tells us about barriers to both CSA disclosure and enquiry by healthcare professionals. Through reviewing quantitative and qualitative research with adult survivors of CSA, this chapter also highlights what professionals can do to facilitate, improve, and support disclosures by clients.
