ABSTRACT

The pandemic spared no one, and yet from trauma comes potential opportunity. In this piece, I cover how we can all use more self-coaching to support us during challenging times, particularly when resources are limited. I focus specifically on the role of mindful breathing, creative visualization, journaling, and the potential healing power of technology in these difficult and uncertain times. Through vignettes, readers can learn how to layer self-coaching tools to customize solutions for real-world problems. We are all pandemic survivors and have within us a unique ability to heal, and we can do this most effectively by coaching ourselves. Many of the very best leaders and coaches in the world coach themselves every day, and you can too. The pandemic, for all its difficulties, has created a unique opportunity for us to leverage technology like never before, thereby allowing us to coach ourselves and those around us in meaningful ways.
