ABSTRACT
In February 2023, North Jutland Museums opened a new Cold War Museum, located in the northern part of Denmark. The museum, built around the former top-secret government bunker REGAN Vest, conveys the untold story of civilian Denmark’s response to the Cold War’s fear, hope and struggle for identity and democracy. This chapter introduces the shape of the new the museum and reflects on the choices that form the basis of the new and critically acclaimed museum in relation to flow, scenography, mode of communication, target groups and topics.
