ABSTRACT
Due to the history of South Africa, the diversity of the citizens of the country and the continuous inequality and poverty, the South African education system is deemed as being in crisis. A partnership was born to co-produce education at this school. This was the start of the Partners for Possibility program. Partners for Possibility is a co-production of education initiative that focuses on leadership development. It is based on a partnership between business leaders and school principals from under-resourced schools in South Africa. "Changing one school at a time" is the motto used by Partners for Possibility to move towards transforming the education landscape in South Africa. The Partners for Possibility initiative has led to change in underperforming under-resourced schools by equipping principals and school management committees with the necessary skills. The initiative continues to develop leadership, a capable state and active citizenship to ultimately ensure social cohesion.
