ABSTRACT
After an overview of the main issues in long-term archiving of digital publications, we described the connection between the Dutch university IRs and the long-term preservation facility in the National Library of the Netherlands (KB). A demonstrator was created to show where the current infrastructure should be expanded based on the Dutch situation and to detect some issues that need further research and discussion. Although the LTP situation in the Netherlands is specific, with different archives for different type of resources, this situation of working with several archives for archiving one EP is realistic. The different resources could originate from different countries and different institutions. It might be an illusion that the world-width research community will come to one consistent regulation for EPs. Above that, parts of the EP will be archived already in more than one LTP archive.
