ABSTRACT
Designed by Apple Inc, the first iPhone was released on June 29, 2007. The model used in Daniel Szöllösi’s 2012 Untitled is likely to be a 4S. The iPhone 4 measures 4.53 inches (11.5 cm) in length, 2.3 inches (5.8 cm) in width, and 0.4 inches (0.93 cm) in height. Its distinctive look comes from its expansive touch screen, resulting from the replacement of the traditional hard keyboard by a virtual one. As well as offering the usual communication functions, the iPhone 4 is equipped with a still and video camera and features a high resolution 960 x 640 “retina display” screen. Its thin, discrete casement and landscape viewing function allow for an enhanced display of images.
