ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 presents the new seven-step transition engineering approach. The objective is to discover disruptive ideas for triggers for change and innovative shift projects. The approach has the unique aspect of simulating time travel. Going back 100 years in history helps readers to learn about essential activities before the wicked problems of climate change and oil depletion. The future we choose will tell us a lot about life after fossil fuels. The interdisciplinary transition innovation, management and engineering (InTIME) approach is also described.
