ABSTRACT

Disaster management is a critical aspect of a society’s well-being and growth as it drastically affects the country’s growth and adds to the financial burden to the society. One of the significant adverse contributions is due to the natural or human-triggered fire, specifically wild fire. Although satellite images contribute in the localization and identification of wildfire, however the damage induced by that time is irreparable and at times difficult to control. Hence the major challenge is to identify the markers of smoke or fire at the early stage only. This paper presents an efficient fire prediction and detection system using sensor network. It presents a simulation based fuzzy system which considers multiple relevant input and maps it to the potential fire or smoke detection. Here the diverse habitants contributing to the ecology are tagged with sensor network. By studying the collaborative movement of the wild creatures, the possibility of a threat including fire can be explored. Last but not the least, conclusion is discussed with possible future directions aiming at researcher’s community for possible solutions.
