Stability assessment of single-area thermal automatic generation control system using eigenvalue analysis

The stability analysis of thermal power system fitted with the proportional integral (PI) controller, while designing the controller parameters using eigenvalue method is carried out in this paper. The stability boundaries of PI controller parameters are found for the examined single area automatic generation control system. The accuracy and effectiveness of the anticipated method are displayed in the time domain simulations and eigenvalues.
