ABSTRACT
Goals tell you what should be accomplished by the decision that your assessment will support. For most environmental assessments, goals are provided by mandates in laws or regulations. An assessment endpoint is an entity and an attribute of that entity that can represent an environmental goal. This chapter discusses important criteria you should consider when selecting assessment endpoints for ecological assessments.
