ABSTRACT

Soil base is a basic, often the most pliable, load-bearing element of the building. Not being, as a rule, a constructive element of the building (except maybe artificially created reinforced soil massifs geomassifs) soil base takes on entire load from building, affecting operational and strength parameters of the building. This situation certainly requires inclusion of a soil base model into computer model of the building. In this case the problem of determining the mechanical parameters of a physically nonlinear soil from in-situ tests arises, because laboratory tests for these purposes are complex and on various reasons their results are unreliable The paper presents an algorithm of the method of determination of the design mechanical soil parameters for the physically nonlinear Botkin model. Examples of practical application of the method for the design of real objects are given.
