ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the empirical results of the pilot case studies in the research project. It also presents an analysis of each business’s NB HS NPD activities will be elaborated on behalf of the Network Based High Speed Product Development (NB HS NPD) framework model. The chapter presents and analyzes a specific NB HS NPD project for each case business within the framework model for NB HS NPD. It focses on NB HS NPD in the first stage and gates of the product development process. The case analysis was supported by questions filled out by the businesses on an Internet-based survey tool and additionally supported by telephone interviews on specific questions. LYNGSO Industries supplies solutions for track & trace, automation, planning and visualization of processes and assets in logistics and supply chains. Lyngso claimed that the network HS enabler was a major catalyst to high speed product development especially in the initial part of the product development process.
