ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the completed research task concerning the structural and osteoconductive functionalization of the interspike space of the prototype multi-spiked connecting scaffold (MSC-Scaffold). The theoretical basis for the evaluation of the pro-osteoconductive potential of the MSC-Scaffold is provided. Results of evaluating the possibility of forming the structural-osteoconductive properties of the MSC-Scaffold are presented, as well as the course and results of the preliminary biological evaluation in cell culture of the MSC-Scaffold preprototypes after the structural-osteoconductive functionalization of their interspike space as well as the course and results of the pilot study of the preprototypes of the structurally functionalized MSC-Scaffold in an animal model.
