ABSTRACT
The report aimed to investigate the scientific landscape of political cynicism in the Scopus database. A total of 730 research articles released between 1956 and 2022 were retrieved and reviewed. Bibliometric network analysis with VOSviewer was performed to create co-occurrence and co-authorship mappings. There are 4 research clusters related to democratic activities, human differences, and the media, which indicate a new trend after 2012. This report provides a complementary research review approach to receive a comprehensive view of what researchers have done. A future review of the impact of political cynicism and online and offline media types is suggested for making the review.
