ABSTRACT
The sustainability of livestock business development cannot be separated from the support of various resources, one of which is feed accessibility. This study aimed to determine the accessibility or difficulty of goat breeders obtaining animal feed. The method of sampling farmers intentionally (purposive sampling) is a sampling method with a specific purpose, with the consideration that the farmer sample has the information needed for the research. Respondents were 40 breeders with the ownership of 2–3 goats and had at least 2 years of experience raising livestock. Accessibility to the observed feed sources is related to the origin of the feed, the distance to the location of the feed source and travel time, the purchase of feed, the availability of labor, and the time required to search for feed. The results of the study were reported descriptively. The results showed that the average of the five observed variables, namely the origin of feed, distance and travel time, availability of labor, and time to search and purchase feed, obtained a score of 0.82, 0.75, 0.80, 0.85, and 0.81, respectively, so that the total score is 4.02. The conclusion is that the accessibility of goat feed sources in July Keudee Dua Village, Juli District, is good.
