ABSTRACT
City Hall Park is the oldest park in the city of Bandung. This park was built since the Dutch East Indies era in 1885. This park was originally built as a place of recreation for European businessmen, a place to rest, hold music concerts and get closer to nature. The function of the park continues to grow and has become a place for gathering, exercising, relaxing, playing, recreation, interacting with nature and holding various events. In 2013, the City Hall Park underwent a revitalization process in order to facilitate the development of this function. Based on the results of a survey in 2018, park users, namely city residents, think that revitalization has had a positive impact. This study aims to identify the implementation in park design of the important factors for the success of a city park by the government in revitalizing the City Hall Park so that it can be used as a reference in the process of new design or revitalization of city parks in the future. The research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method through data collection methods in the form of documentation, observation and mapping. The results showed that the success of revitalization was due to the fulfillment of important factors in the success of a park, namely accessibility, fun and attractiveness for users, as well as comfort and safety.
