ABSTRACT
A smart grid is an electrical network that includes two-way communication of information to intelligently integrate the actions of all its components in order to have efficient transmission, distribution, and use of electricity. There has been good progress in the installation of the smart grid; however, about 73% of residential customers had advanced metering infrastructure in 2022 in the U.S. Demand management of the grid can be improved by having a smart grid. The smart grid is an important development that is very beneficial for time-of-use pricing and efforts to communicate effectively for the implementation of demand management associated with wind and solar-generated electricity.
