ABSTRACT

Hydrogen is very important as a fuel and as an element in ammonia and many other compounds. Hydrogen is in water and can be produced from renewable energy by electrolysis of water using inexpensive electricity from wind and solar generating processes. The term green hydrogen is used because there are no greenhouse gases associated with this hydrogen. Ammonia can be produced with green hydrogen, and green hydrogen can be used in fuel cells for transportation. An important goal is to reduce the cost of production of green hydrogen. Hydrogen has many uses in industrial processes, and it can be used to produce electricity.
