ABSTRACT

This is the last chapter of the journey through different decision models and ways of making decisions, focusing in particular on real-world methods that are easily applicable. By this time, the reader has gained a solid understanding of how decisions could and should be made. The book is intended to be picked up whenever you have an important enough real-life decision to make, until the day you master the ideas and procedures well enough to perform them without guidance. To sum the book up, this chapter will offer some guidelines when picking tools and procedures for making better decisions in the future. If the decision situation at hand is a smaller one, a more intuitive overall process can be followed. If it is larger, or a number of people or groups are involved, it is advisable to follow a more structured process as summarised in this chapter.
