ABSTRACT

This study aims at the development of digital twin that consists of two parts. One is data storage of inspection data. The other is numerical model to evaluate the performance of the structure. The objective of the numerical model is to predict the influence of the deterioration, when the deterioration gets worse. A bridge was picked up and the finite element model was built. Reproduction of the actual behavior is very important to estimate the influence of deterioration. The field loading test was conducted for the verification. A heavy vehicle of 40 tons was loaded. By considering the reinforced concrete sidewalk and steel fences of sidewalks, the agreement between the actual structure and numerical model could be improved up to 92 %. After the loading test, continuous monitoring of bridge weigh-in-motion was carried out. The result showed that the traffic condition of the bridge was not serious very much.
