ABSTRACT

This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of current research on non-ionizing radiation from communication and electric power sources in the African continent. It explores the mechanisms of non-ionizing radiation (NIR), its sources, exposure levels, and the existing evidence regarding potential health effects from published scientific manuscripts. By examining epidemiological studies, laboratory research, and regulatory standards, this chapter seeks to clarify the current understanding of NIR and identify areas where further investigation is needed in Africa.
