ABSTRACT
The objective of this chapter is to provide a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the health effects of ionizing radiation on both the general public and workers, particularly in the context of Africa. In achieving this, a narrative review and synthesis of existing literature on occupational and general public ionizing radiation exposure and health outcomes was conducted.
