ABSTRACT
Seaport road transit networks are among the most congested traffic areas, particularly under emergencies conditions. For example, during the Tianjin Port explosion on August 12, 2015, and the Ningbo seaport closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, the criticality of this infrastructure was highlighted. This paper proposes a novel real-time traffic estimation and prediction system based on data-driven approaches. It simulates the movement of stretch trucks within the dynamic harbor district. Additionally, enhanced microscopic emergency traffic flow models for the harbor district roads are developed, including the static queuing model and the vehicle emergency movement model.
