ABSTRACT

The healthcare sector plays a strategic role in any society. It provides patients with services that help to maintain and restore their health, thanks not only to the achievements of modern medicine but above all to the high competence of medical specialists in various fields of medicine. In this work, new challenges are emerging that are significantly limiting the availability of services due to staff shortages and an extremely stressful working environment. These include not only new diseases and viruses but also patients and their aggressive behavior. The job of health workers is already stressful enough due to the high responsibilities and demands of the job. Emerging threats and challenges in the medical workplace (including a highly stressful work environment and aggressive patient behavior) may further exacerbate the health workforce crisis. This raises concerns about the quality and availability of health services in the future, particularly in the context of emerging threats and stressors in the work of health professionals. It is therefore important to identify and address emerging threats in order to create a supportive and sustainable work environment for health professionals.
