ABSTRACT
The presence of human-like robots in our social life raises issues of how we should treat them. The question regarding ways of dealing ethically with entities is related to moral patiency. In short, moral patients are entities that can be wronged (Levy and Savulescu 2009: 366) Could human-like robots be wronged? To answer that, we need to know what we mean by human likeness. Human-like robots could mean several things that could entail several wrongs that could be performed on robots. To depict the complex nature of the issues being discussed here, let us start with some scenarios.
