ABSTRACT
In recent years, as the temporal and spatial scopes of design have expanded, and myopia and convergence issues brought on by technology-driven design, the methodologies for design futures have gradually become richer with an increasing number of methods being developed. While existing research extensively covers design methods for the near future, methodologies for mid- to long-term and distant future are relatively scarce. This study organizes and summarizes the methods currently applied in designing futures and identifies potential tools from broader fields. It positions design futures as a general creative practice process, outlining potential methods for handling the future-oriented practical application.
