ABSTRACT
In order to compute matrix elements for real world theories, we need a better understanding of how to write down the incoming and outgoing states for actual physical particles. We saw in Chapter 5 that the group of spacetime symmetries – space-and-time translations, rotations, parity – have allowed us to classify particles according to some basic properties, which I have recapitulated in table 11.1.
