ABSTRACT
There are fundamental drivers that will push the green movement and accelerate clean technologies into businesses, homes, and countless new markets. This chapter looks at what has been a driver of the green movement thus far and what is likely to drive the movement in the future. It lists 15 key drivers (or potential drivers) that have helped create opportunities in the clean technology sector and those that will continue to create opportunities going forward. Energy security has become a major driver of the emphasis on developing sustainable electricity generation and transportation alternatives. Today a number of products can serve as the face of today's green revolution-perhaps none better positioned in homes and offices around the globe than the Compact fluorescent light bulbs.
