ABSTRACT

I will recount some of the history of economics, discuss some very fundamental notions and be guided along the way by the Bio-Copernican Axiom which in this context says that the human economic system, however it is defined, is a part of a larger system, namely Nature. If you do not accept this axiom you can skip ahead to the sections on the mathematics of debt and related subjects; from this mathematics no one can escape as long as there are such things as money, banks, laws, governments, police and prisons.
