The future of the Russian political regime after the departure of Vladimir Putin is now of concern to many. In a situation where there is no clarity regarding the mechanisms for the transfer of power, just as there are no well-functioning institutions of bureaucracy and political competition, 1 attention is naturally drawn toward the elites in Russia.
